What is Dental Tourism?

Dental Tourism, also referred to as Health Tourism or Medical Tourism, is a new concept used to represent obtaining medical or dental services while traveling or vacationing in another country.

Why should I choose India over other destinations?

India has some of the most highly qualified and experienced physicians in the world. With a cultural emphasis on education, most of these physicians have gone on to super-specialize in their field, enabling them to become experts in their respective medical specialties.

In addition to traditional medicine, India offers many more relaxing and rejuvenating treatment options from Yoga, Ayurveda, and Meditation to Allopathic and Naturopathic medicine.

India also offers world-class travel destinations such as the Taj Mahal, the beaches of Goa, the backwaters of Kerala and hiking in the Himalayas, heritage rich Rajasthan to name a few.

What are the types of medical procedures that tourists usually seek in India?

There are a lot of different medical/surgical options for medical tourists. Primarily, medical tourists get elective procedures such as cosmetic surgery, hip and knee replacements, dental procedures, infertility treatments; any procedure that is usually not covered by insurance or has a long waiting time in their home country.

What is the cost savings compared to the costs in my country?

The potential cost savings for medical tourists are huge and as a result are one of the more important factors in seeking treatment in India. It is important to note that the cost for each individual will vary depending on their need and requirements. Usually, a procedure of similar quality in India would cost 40 - 60% less than the cost in the US. This is mainly possible because of favorable currency exchange rates.

Are these costs savings due to lower standards of medicine in India?

Absolutely not, the Indian medical standards match up to the highly prescribed international standards. The lower costs are due to favorable currency conversion rates and lower costs of operating in India.

Is your clinic well equipped and up to international standards?

Our clinic utilizes some of the best medical equipment that is available world-wide. We meet rigorous international standards, focus on patient safety and comfort, and the clinic has been designed in a way that will minimize the risk of infection.

How much would my treatment cost?

Dentotal is a high value-for-money clinic. Be assured that our prices are highly competitive to other clinics in India; while we deliver very high quality of treatment to our patients. We have attached a price list, however it may not be possible to give an exact estimate until the patient is examined by the doctor

Do you accept foreign currency?

No, we only accept INR (Indian Rupees), but the clinic has a credit card machine which accepts international Visa and Master Cards.

Can I know before coming the duration of the treatment to plan my trip accordingly?

We can only suggest an approximate time frame; however an accurate time can be provided after a physical examination of the patient.

Can I travel between my sittings?

Yes, for most treatments the patients resume normality after the first sitting and can travel between sittings. In most cases, you can let the doctor know your itinerary and plan your next sitting on a day suited to you.

What are the hygene norms that I can expect?

How far is the clinic from Delhi city?

Dentotal is in the heart of Delhi city. Both clinics are located in South Delhi and are easily accessible with ample parking.

What are my options to stay around the clinic?

Since we are situated in the heart of south Delhi, there are many places you can stay at – including simple ‘Bed & Breakfast’ places, economy hotels, 3 star and 5 star hotels. If required, we can put you in touch with a reliable travel agency that can book rooms for you prior to your arrival.

How far is the clinic from the airport?

The Defence Colony branch of Dentotal is approximately 12 kms from the Indira Gandhi International Terminal (T3).
