Orthodontia is the branch of dentistry which deals with the abnormalities of the teeth and jaws.

The improper bite could be a result of either tooth irregularity, disproportionate jaw relationship or both.

The dental specialist who specializes in treatment of these disorders is called an Orthodontist.
